Ridgefield Art Gallery

This Fall we learned the local Ridgefield Floral & Gift shop was offering Ridgefield Art Association (RAA) a space in their new building for an art gallery. Five local artists were chosen to be on this project team, and WOW was it a lot of work! Eva Kelley, RAA Board Secretary, lead us, with Rose Jubb, Kathy Winters, Merrilee Asla Lee, and Kaylin Rose (members) all pitching in on planning and execution as one happy Gallery Management Team.

Neighbors, friends, spouses, and strangers all chipped in their efforts and donations. All our team’s planning paid off! In one month they had secured funding, written by-laws, made a website, and starting marketing.

In the next month they completed construction. It was fast. It was tough. But they pulled the best from each other and gave it their all, even over the holidays. The five artists on the management team have grown to ten with addition of more member artists at the gallery: Diana Lynn Zolotko, Nicole Given, Chris Bidleman, Lori O’Haver, and Molly Barnes.

The RAA now has a gallery! You can follow along here @ridgefieldartgallery

Thanks to the MANY wonderful friends and RAA members who cheered on the team, fed them, coffeed them, and kept them warm. And an enormous thanks for the opportunity and hospitality to @ridgefieldfloralandgifts so grateful to be under your roof!
