Lara Blair

I create three-dimensional art that blends whimsy and narrative, inspired by the joy and curiosity from my childhood. Drawing on my background as a portrait photographer, I use storytelling and composition to craft tactile scenes with plaster, clay, resin, paint, wood, and found objects. My dioramas and sweet treat sculptures feature miniature figures in metaphorical worlds, reimagining everyday objects and memories, like ice cream summers and Sunday doughnut runs. Displayed in bell jars, shadowboxes, or on wood panels, my work aims to spark delight, connection, and wonder.
