Jim Misner
A northwest native, and passive artist. Art is my passion, but so is eating and paying my bills, so for now, it is my most satisfying hobby and pretty damned cheap therapy. I mostly work with acrylics on plywood but sometimes venture into a whimsical world of animal sculptures, where I fuse antlers into my hand sculpted creations, which I call "Farflehoogins". I create only what I find personally exciting and challenging. I have been a featured artist at The Broadway Gallery in Longview and have donated commission portraits for fund raisers. Most of my art hangs on the home gallery walls of friends and family. One of my favorite artistic endeavors is painting a surprise eulogy portrait for the family of loved ones who have passed. Rather than sell my art, I prefer it just be enjoyed and hopefully inspires others to embark on their own personal journey of artistic expression. .
